Former Lynn University women’s golfer Katy McNicoll ’09 won the North of Scotland women's amateur golf championship in July and followed up by making it through to the final, qualifying for the Ricoh Women's British Open championship.  McNicoll was a four-year letterwinner with the Fighting Knights. The Carnoustie, Scotland, native proved her meddle once again on the links of the Berkshire Golf Club.  Shooting a one-over par 73, McNicoll is one of 26 players who will participate in the final qualifying at Fairhaven Golf Club, Lancashire, on Monday, July 27.  Ricoh's Women's British Open will be held at Royal Lytham and St. Annes.
