Luis Miguel Gonzalez Ocque ’99 was one of four investment professionals hired by Morgan Stanley to serve ultra-high net worth clients in Venezuela and Colombia. Luis joins a team of three other private wealth advisors and a small group from Barclays Wealth Management Group.

Luis studied international business while at Lynn and when asked how his time at Lynn prepared him for this endeavor he said, “Lynn University was a fantastic experience for my university years. I was introduced to so many relationships around the world. The small classes and the mix of international classmates were things that really prepared me for the actual world of business.” Luis was appointed as the executive director for this project.

Luis is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, and came to Lynn in 1995 to study international business. When asked why Lynn University was a good fit for him, Luis said, “First it was close to home. Second, I had close and open relationships and access to my teachers. But most importantly I was looking for a place with a mix of international students and Lynn really has that.” Luis’ new team will be based in Miami and will be looking to capitalize on the growth opportunities that they have found in the nations of Venezuela and Colombia.
