Alexandre named MLS Player of the Week

Photo: Jean Alexandre '11Former Lynn Fighting Knight Jean Alexandre ’11 was named the Player of the Week for Major League Soccer (MLS). Alexandre finished the week with one goal and one assist, both coming in a game against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The goal was the first of his MLS career in only his ninth career start.

 

Alexandre was originally drafted twelfth overall by Real Salt Lake in the 2009 MLS Superdraft after a stellar career at Lynn. Originally a midfielder at Lynn, Alexandre moved to forward as a senior and produced 23 goals and seven assists for 53 points in earning All-America accolades as well as Sunshine State Conference Player and Offensive Player of the Year honors.

 

He is now in his third professional season with Real Salt Lake who are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference with a record of 6-2-2.
