When Jessica Bradley ’15 was recruited by Courtney Bibby to play golf for Lynn University, she found that it was the perfect fit. She said, “I chose Lynn because of its location, the weather and the size of the school, as I had come from small schools in the UK.” Jessica graduated with her degree in Sports Management and a minor in Psychology. “I chose sports management because I knew I would enjoy it. It also opens up a wide variety of jobs after graduation,” said Jessica.

At the age of seven, Jessica began to play golf. It wasn’t until her tenth birthday that she received her first set of clubs. “My dad had played golf and one day he took me with him to the driving range and I fell in love with golf.” Said Jessica. During her undergraduate career she played on the woman’s Golf team for four years. “I had to plan my time very well. It’s really hard to keep up with work when you miss two or three days of classes for a tournament. It was hard but I managed it.” Jessica said.

Jessica’s four year golf career at Lynn University was one of the greatest in the golf program’s history alone. She helped Lynn win the first Sunshine State Conference Championship, back to back NCAA Division II National Titles, she also became the first NCAA Division II National Player of the Year and also became the first student athlete, for any sport at Lynn, to be recognized as a two-time national player of the year.

After graduation, Jessica spent the summer working on her golf game and fitness. She played tournaments all over the United Kingdom before deciding to make the jump and enter the Lalla Aicha Tour School. This school allows female players to compete at an elite level globally. This gave her the opportunity to try and earn her card for the Ladies European Tour in Morocco. “Although there was a huge amount of pressure, my athletic career at Lynn definitely taught me how to cope with the pressure,” she said. On her first attempt, Jessica received her card for the Ladies European Tour for the 2016 season. During the 2016 tour she will have to play eight or nine events. With Bradley’s ability to not fold under pressure, she is sure to succeed in this year’s tour.

Jessica’s prior experiences have motivated her to continue playing golf so that she can be the best golfer possible. Her plans are to continue playing and enjoying golf to see where exactly it can take her. Jessica said, “My dream would be to win and represent Europe in the Solheim Cup.”
