Natasa Stojanovska ’11 graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Lynn University in the studio of Roberta Rust, piano department head artist-faculty.
“Natasa Stojanovska was one of the most gifted and creative young pianists I ever had the pleasure of teaching, says Rust. “She has spontaneous and abundant talent- I predict a wonderful life in music for her.”
Natasa is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Indiana University South Bend, in the studio of Martin Endowed Professor, Alexander Toradze. She has worked with many prominent pianists: Robert McDonald, Arie Vardi, Norman Krieger, YosipYermin, Roswita Gediga and Jefrry Biegel. Stojanovska has performed solo recitals in France, Portugal, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, and the United States and also has been recognized as an adept accompanist and chamber musician.
Natasa was born in Prilep, Macedonia, and began to play the piano at age 8. In 2002 she was hailed as the best young pianist in Macedonia and was awarded First Place at Interfest Bitola (2001-2002).
In 2008 she was the winner of the concerto competition at the Brevard Summer Music Festival in North Carolina and performed the Tchaikovsky Concerto No.1 at the festival. She has received the Florida State Music Teachers Association 2009 Gray Perry Young Collegiate Piano Award and in summer 2010 she took part at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City and worked with renowned musicians such as Olga Kern, Alexander Kobrin, Jerome Rose, Victor Rosenbaum and Eduard Zilberkant.
Natasa is an inspiration to many of the current students and alumni of Lynn University. To become well-known in the music industry is a tough road and one that takes a great deal of effort and patience.
