Tiarra Norcross ’10 is the current assignment editor at NBC in Boston. This was the goal she set as she graduated from Lynn University. It’s not very often someone reaches her goal so quickly, but Norcross has and she loves her current position. She credits Lynn University’s communication department for helping prepare her.

She says that the media courses at Lynn were in depth and hands on, which really helped her grasp the concepts and helped her realize what she wanted her future career to be.  She not only had the opportunity to see the on air side of reporting but also the behind the scenes side which is invaluable in current media industry.  Tiarra also loved that she learned what print media entails while also studying the greatest journalists.

The communication program here at Lynn is very well rounded. She credits all of her professors for teaching their specific specialty in such detail. All of them helped mold and prepare her for the current position she holds with NBC today.

The small class sizes made it easy for her to engage in class discussions and really master the material. “If you read back to the 2010 graduation iPulse paper, my current job is what I set out to accomplish, who would have thought?” In 5,4,3,2,1 Live from Boston, Tiarra Norcross.
