Two other members of the Class Gift Committee, Lacy Redwine ’11 ’12 and Haley Pratt ’11, joined me to meet with Greg Sullivan ‘89 to discuss the 2011 Class Gift. Greg flew down to Boca, not only to escape the cold winter in Virginia, but to meet up with former classmates at Alumni Weekend in March.

When we told him that this year’s class gift is a gazebo on the Feiberger lawn in the heart of the residence halls, Greg offered to put down a challenge donation where he would match the funds collected dollar for dollar up to $2,500. I am happy to report that the 2011 graduating class has put together nearly $8,000 so far with his help.

“I think building a gazebo as a class gift is a clever idea,” he said. “My contribution was the least I could do after all Lynn has provided me.”

There is still time to be a part of this project and help our vision come to fruition. Simply go to our.lynn.edu/classgift to help your class leave its stamp on the Lynn campus.
