The student alumni group, Future Alumni Network (FAN), paired up with campus recreation to host a kickball tournament for students, alumni and staff.

Alumna Erin Evans ’07 said, “It was great to get back to campus for the kickball tournament. I had fun interacting with current students through some friendly competition.”

The tournament, held on the softball field under the backdrop of blue skies, started promptly at 1 p.m. and consisted of three rounds of 30-minute games. Our own Paul “Coach” Turner was on hand as lead umpire and saw to it that each game progressed smoothly. Turner remarked, “It was a lot of fun and a perfect day for it and I didn’t even have to throw anybody out of the game.” When all of the dust settled, two alumni teams had made it to the final round.

The FAN group is planning other opportunities for alumni to connect with students this spring including a 5K fun run, Speed Networking night and a service opportunity in our local community. Contact Matt Roos for more information.
