Denise Fraile ’06 was very involved during her years at Lynn University. Her time spent on campus as the president of the Future Business Leaders Society (FBLS) boosted her entrepreneurial spirit and started her towards the successful spot where she sits today.
When asked about her favorite experience at Lynn, Fraile replied, “Our late nights in the business office trying to get our FBLS projects done. Some nights we were there till 1 or 2 a.m. and always had the time of our lives. There is nothing like the business faculty at Lynn, they always make you feel like you are part of a family.”
These late nights putting together projects and business proposals in the Lynn University College of Business offices have definitely paid off for Fraile. She started her design company, Verati International, which specializes in brand identity and brand development. It also offers network extension, media relations services and celebrity branding. The celebrity branding aspect has allowed Fraile to work together with such figures as professional athletes Willis McGahee (Baltimore Ravens - NFL), Lance Briggs (Chicago Bears - NFL) and Vernon Forest (Worldwide Boxing Champion).
Being an entrepreneur and owning her own company, Fraile has to be on her toes and ready to work at all times. “I need to have a very strong and disciplined work ethic with a big vision. Not having anyone to assign me a task or tell me what to do makes me take on more responsibility and that is what makes it exciting for me.”
Fraile’s time and experiences at Lynn have helped shape who she is and how her business is run. “Because Lynn is so diverse, attending school is almost like traveling the world. All students are exposed to all kinds of different cultural backgrounds and nationalities. The most important thing that I learned at Lynn was the global and accepting way of thinking. At Lynn there are no cultural barriers, it is a microcosm of the world we want to live in. It shows how great a place can be when everyone embraces each other’s differences.”
