Lynn University alumna and now Director of Athletics has been honored as one of south Florida’s brightest minds under the age of 40. In this year’s edition of the South Florida Business Journal (SFBJ) “40 Under 40” released on June 25, Kristen Moraz-Migliano was one of those young business professionals who stand out in South Florida not only because of their job title, but because of their education, hard work and perseverance.
Kristen has been a part of the Lynn University community for many years, first as a student-athlete, then as student activities coordinator, then assistant athletic director and now as the director of athletics. When asked how her time as a student-athlete at Lynn University prepared her for the future Kristen said, “As a student-athlete at Lynn I learned how to work as part of a team. I learned how a diverse group of people can gain consensus, come together and work together for the good of the group’s goals.” Through the years Kristen has spent at Lynn, she has seen many changes, but when asked about the greatest part of watching Lynn University grow, the answer was easy for her, “Seeing student-athletes graduate. My favorite day of the year is the undergraduate commencement ceremony.” Kristen also added, “I enjoy Lynn’s committed faculty and staff, its beautiful campus and the ability to grow and learn every day.”
Kristen has had a very busy summer. Along with being named to the SFBJ “40 Under 40”, Kristen has also managed to finish her Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a specialization in Leadership from Capella University—and she even found time to get married. Kristen tied the knot with beau Andy Migliano on May 30 in Delray Beach.
