Former Fighting Knight soccer player Jean Alexandre and his team, Real Salt Lake (RSL), won both the Eastern Conference and the MLS Cup for the 2009 season.

In his first professional season, Alexandre won both domestic honors, ensuring his first season with RSL was successful. “I love my job. I get to travel all over the country to play soccer. It can, however, get overwhelming living out of a suitcase,” he says.

Alexandre helped RSL claim its first Eastern Conference title and MLS Cup in their five year franchise history after forming in 2004.

“I have learned a lot from my first year. I have learned to take care of my body so that I can have a long career,” he notes. Alongside playing for RSL this season, Alexandre gained experience playing in the USL-1 league for the Austin Aztecs scoring an impressive four goals in nine games from midfield.

Alexandre explained that his goals for next year have been set high: “I want to be the best player in the Major League.”
