Not ‘Short’ on talent

Lynn University men's soccer alumnus, Nano Short '08, has become the latest Fighting Knight to sign a professional contract. The Rochester Rhinos of the United Soccer League (USL) recently announced signing Short to a one-year deal.  Short will be teammates with former goalkeeper, Tim Melia '08.

A four-year starter with the Blue & White, Short spent the last two summers playing with Cape Cod of the USL's Premier Development League. In 2007, the native of London, England, registered two goals in 16 matches for the Crusaders.

One of the top all-around athletes in the Sunshine State Conference, Short closed out his career with 22 goals and 22 assists for 66 points.  He accumulated a career-high 10 assists and 22 points in his final season, earning Daktronics Third Team All-American honors as well as being named a First Team All-SSC selection.
