Haley’s Great Adventure

When Haley Mariano '13 stepped onto Lynn University's campus, she was immediately struck by the people who greeted her in the Admission Office. She loved that she would not just be a number but would be known by name. It was at that instant that she connected with the people at Lynn and felt as though she had joined a family. 

After graduating from Lynn with a degree in Multi-Media Journalism, Mariano has been working on numerous projects. She has published her own blog called, “Social Inspired Leader.” Through this blog she is able to assist businesses in promoting their products and services through social media management. Mariano uses a variety of platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and many others, to campaign and help these business reach their target demographics. Outside of her blog, Mariano helps fundraise and volunteers through Palm Beach Counties numerous organizations like Boca Helping Hands, Hospice by the Sea and The American Cancer Society.

Her most recent endeavor has been her children's novel, “Charlie Takes an Adventure.” The story focuses on a Penguin named Charlie, who goes on an adventure after leaving his hometown in Antarctica. Charlie sets off to Florida to try and find true happiness. Mariano found the inspiration for this story in the sixth grade while working on a short story project. Similar to Charlie, Mariano at the time was about to embark on her own adventure when she moved from Boston to come to Florida.
