In Kind Work - Daniel Rosenfeld

Daniel Rosenfeld '08 graduated from Lynn University’s College of International Communication with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting. During his time at Lynn, Dan worked as a graduate assistant in the information technology and marketing departments.

Dan’s upbeat personality and passion for working with children has helped him achieve great success in community service.

Dan is the:

  • co-founder of the Southwest Florida Epilepsy Educational
        Series/Support Group
  • co-founder of the first Southwest Florida Walk the Talk for Epilepsy
  • mentor for Helping Other People with Epilepsy (H.O.P.E) program.

Dan believes “We have three kinds of family: those we are born into, those who are born to us and those we let into our hearts”. He believes everyone deserves to be a part of a family and through his experiences with epilepsy and the Southwest Florida Educational Series and Support Group, the family in his heart has grown exponentially.

Dan organizes various events for children with epilepsy. Each month different speakers address various issues on disability. He has done a commendable job over the last four years raising more than $100,000 to help families with epilepsy and seizure disorders.

Dan provides leadership at various levels in the Epilepsy Foundation of America and Epilepsy Foundation of Florida and also is the youth representative for the Florida region advocating groups, recruiting people from the region and creating awareness in the society.
