Tammy (Pardue) Mazza '94 graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education Pre-K through 6th grade.

She was one of the pioneers in helping the Lynn University women’s soccer program reach national prominence. A four-year letter winner with the Fighting Knights, Tammy appeared in 46 games, notching five goals, six assists and 16 points in helping LU reach the NAIA National Tournament four times while winning the program’s first national championship in 1992.

Lynn was the starting point for the Florida native. Tammy married former Blue & White baseball standout Carm Mazza '95 and started a family before entering the coaching ranks as an assistant at NCAA Division I Florida Atlantic.

What was your best memory about Lynn Soccer?
My best memory was when we won the national title in 1992 at Pacific Lutheran. We entered the field in two lines as we always had, and I will always remember when the game was over (this was my 3rd trip to the final national game) and we had easily won, we gathered our gear and walked off the field in two lines as if we were meant to win. It was so quiet when we left that the other team was in total shock.

What was the best thing about being a part of the Lynn Soccer family?
The best part about playing and being a member of the Lynn University family was that through the years as I kept coaching, I remembered the lessons learned during training, game and team bonding experiences. But most of all, I will always feel that I was part of something special, really special.

Where you now and what are are you doing?
I am currently living in Boca Raton with my college sweetheart, Carm Mazza, and we have three girls: Josephine, who is going into the sixth-grade; Angelina, who is going into the third-grade and Isabella, who is going into first-grade. I am entering my fifth year working for American Heritage-Delray as a technology teacher and soccer coach and have further stayed in the coaching arena as a club/travel coach for AC Delray. Additionally, over the summer I work at Camp Blue Ridge in Pennsylvania as a soccer coach. All three of the girls attend American Heritage and the summer camp, so the last four years have been an amazing experience.
